Crab Time was painted in the wet season in Cairns. The array of colours and reflections display a mud crab which is a sort after catch.

Artworks are inspired by fossicking the shorelines, wharves and jetties. they often contain bold colours, a painterly brush stroke or pallet knife effect is also evident. Family history also sneaks into some of her work and the exploration of people and their connections to place. Carmen's home studio is currently in the South West of Western Australia.
