Working with loose washes and softened edges, I allow the medium to blur certainty, suggesting how recollection fades and reforms over time. The face emerges gradually from layered colour, not fully fixed, but held in a state of becoming - in that moment.
The restrained palette and fluid application emphasize mood over detail. Rather than striving for realism, the work seeks an emotional truth—capturing presence, fragility, and the quiet intensity of looking and being seen.
