Magpie Maggie

What influenced me to paint a magpie was its ethereal elegance and captivating contrast of black and white feathers. I couldn't resist capturing its mystique on a small canvas with the versatility of acrylic paints.
The intricacies and details of the magpie's feathers, the way they shine in the sunlight, fascinated me. I wanted to bring that essence to life through my art, letting every stroke of the brush reveal its grace and beauty.
The choice of acrylic paints was deliberate, as they allowed me to easily build layers and play with the tones and textures of the magpie's plumage. The finished piece, an acrylic still life painting, exudes a sense of realism and captures the magpie's essence with precision.
