This work was created at a stipend funded art residency at Can Serrat, Spain. The work started out as fresh beetroot soaked in vinegar and left out in the sun for 3 days. The diamond pattern was made by the metal grate on the seat the paper rested on. It was made after an inspiring day visiting Gaudi’s mosaic wonderland Park Gruell in Barcelona. The pieces of paper were then altered further in paint and stitching.
