This piece is an ode to Australian birds. It is a painting of an endangered Golden-shouldered Parrot, which are only found in a small area of Cape York Peninsula. I love the gorgeous colours of this lovely bird. I have used palette knives over my brush work to create luscious texture in the feathers and on the branch and background.
