For many months I have had a deep desire to paint hearts but haven't because I was busy painting birds, flowers and landscapes, and I wasn't sure what others might think of them. But after months of continuing to push the desire away I finally gave in and this piece is one of my first two Heart pieces. I am so glad I gave in as I enjoyed painting them so much. I used colours I adore, and created lots of texture, which I love, using palette knives.
