This cute little piece was inspired by a trip my husband and I took to Lord Howe Island last year. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear. We took a trip out on a glass bottom boat to see the turtles slowly gliding through the ocean, then went snorkelling over the reef to see the turtles and huge variety of fish. It was such an amazing experience.

I originally painted in more realistic colours but when I went back the following day I just had to change it, I have to use lots of bright colours. They just make me so happy.

This turtle looks so happy to be enjoying the lovely waters and pretty coral surrounding him.
