Oil on wood
Signed on the back.
Early one morning as the sun was rising I was in Noonamah. It was the day after the Noonamah rodeo and they still had the horses from the event in a field next to the stadium. One of the horses stood by himself and was very interested in what I was doing so I quickly snapped a photo of him. I started the underpainting of this picture in my studio but didnt get to complete it until recently, when I was on the road agian painting from my pochade box using the photo on my phone as a reference. As I had been doing a lot of Plein air painting at the time this painting has ended up with a very painterly influence.
