A Glorious Departure

Part of a series of paintings of Australian Skies. This one is of a beautiful sunset in Tasmania against a silhouette of trees, water and lampposts. Australia is a such a large continent with a varied terrain and vast skies. Observing the endlessly changeable nature of clouds in our country has become a daily activity of mine. I’m forever looking up and appreciating the moment light peeps through a cloud formation or marvelling at the drama of stormy skies and the impossible beauty of sunsets. This series of paintings portrays such fleeting moments around our country.
