Spring is so welcome this year, in particular after months of Lockdown in Melbourne! To celebrate it I have painted a still life of magnolia blooms. I enjoyed the challenge of the glass and water reflections. The background has texture using a palette knife which contrasts well with the smooth surface of the flowers and vase.
