Artwork Description

This artwork is a Fine Art Limited Edition print on stretched canvas of Charlotte's original drawing Blue Skies Ahead. The artwork is framed in a Tasmanian Oak floating frame and is ready to hang. It is the first in an limited edition of only five.

In creating the original work on paper (Prismacolor pencil on Arches paper), Charlotte aimed to spark joy through her vibrant palette and bright composition. She loves to play with ideas of transparency and solidity through the layering and blending of rich hues to achieve a sense of luminosity and equilibrium.

This museum quality Limited Edition print (archival pigment inks on premium canvas) truly captures the colours and vibrancy of the original drawing while adding a new textural element in the weave of the canvas. It is hand-signed and numbered on the back and also comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Please note, the original drawing and limited edition prints on paper of Blue Skies Ahead are also available for purchase, see Charlotte's other listings.

Through layering and juxtaposing rich, vivid colour, Charlotte gives strength and luminosity to overlapping shapes and shadows evoking a sense of harmony, simplicity and joy.

Art and art making have always been an integral part of Charlotte’s life. Following her university studies (Bachelor of Visual and Performing Arts, VCA, and Master of Art Curatorship, University of Melbourne), she enjoyed a career in exhibition management and curatorship.
