Charmian is an Australian artist who grew up surrounded by art. Mostly self taught but not without study, her focus has been on iconography and finding the emotion within the subject. Her style is very immediate and she enjoys being quick and expressive in stroke and colour. Each painting is a mission to find that 'something' that is recognizable and dear to the audience. Having been selected for various prizes she continues to work creatively imparting a little bit of 'wonder'.
