This work examines the way a place can transform as a cold weather front rolls in. As the wind picks up and clouds begin to close-in the colours have an alternate vibrancy. I want to capture the physical change of the natural landscape and how I exist within it . ~ Painted on 100% cotton watercolour paper ~ Acid free Archival paper ~ This work is packaged in a plastic mailing sleeve with a hard board backing to keep it flat and safe for postage ~ For more on my artwork visit my instagram @chloe_papastavrou ~ or visit my Facebook page Chloe Papastavrou Art and Design
Chloe is an emerging artist making abstract works inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Her work is motivated by and reflects both the vastness and intimacy of place. Growing up along Kanamaluka/Tamer River has provided an endless source for artistic exploration. While the landscapes of my childhood occur frequently I am also drawn to various landscapes across Lutruwita including the southern coastline and the majestic beauty of Kunanyi Mt. Wellington above Nipaluna Hobart where I am currently based. . I work in both Acrylic on canvas or wood panel and Gouache on paper.
