Banksia are one of the most spectacular native Australian flower, there are over one hundred varieties all with different colours, forms and foliage. This illustrative work focuses on the vibrance of the flower and angular forms of the leaves. The banksia cones in many ways are just as beautiful as the fowers and I find them characterful and important to appreciating the life cycle of the plant.

Chloe is an emerging artist making abstract works inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Her work is motivated by and reflects both the vastness and intimacy of place. Growing up along Kanamaluka/Tamer River has provided an endless source for artistic exploration. While the landscapes of my childhood occur frequently I am also drawn to various landscapes across Lutruwita including the southern coastline and the majestic beauty of Kunanyi Mt. Wellington above Nipaluna Hobart where I am currently based.
