Artwork Description

Wild places are easy to find in Tasmania, quiet places to explore and contemplate. The native plants and vistas envelope you. This bushland painting is inspired by a short walk beyond the kanamaluka and Supply River falls. Where the gum tree canopy distorts the sky, she-oak trees and lomandra spread out beneath them.

~ Painted on 100% cotton watercolour paper

Artist Bio

Chloe is an emerging artist making abstract works inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Her work is motivated by and reflects both the vastness and intimacy of place. Growing up along Kanamaluka/Tamer River has provided an endless source for artistic exploration. While the landscapes of my childhood occur frequently I am also drawn to various landscapes across Lutruwita including the southern coastline and the majestic beauty of Kunanyi Mt. Wellington above Nipaluna Hobart where I am currently based.
.
I work in both Acrylic on canvas or wood panel and Gouache on paper.
