Artwork Description

She-oak trees scale leaves carpet the ground in the Deviot Bushland. The layers of pine-needle-like foliage mulches the earth creating almost a river like coverage over the surrounding forms. Rocks and tree limbs look as though they are emerging from pools of umber green foliage.

Artist Bio

Chloe is an emerging artist making abstract works inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Her work is motivated by and reflects both the vastness and intimacy of place. Growing up along Kanamaluka/Tamer River has provided an endless source for artistic exploration. While the landscapes of my childhood occur frequently I am also drawn to various landscapes across Lutruwita including the southern coastline and the majestic beauty of Kunanyi Mt. Wellington above Nipaluna Hobart where I am currently based.
.
I work in both Acrylic on canvas or wood panel and Gouache on paper.
