Washed Stones

This work examines the way water washes over the stones at the Supply River falls in northern Tasmania. The water reveals and conceals the structures of this place as the water trickles and cascades. The work aims to evoke the fluidity and ever changing nature of this environment.

Chloe is an emerging artist making abstract works inspired by the Tasmanian landscape. Her work is motivated by and reflects both the vastness and intimacy of place. Growing up along Kanamaluka/Tamer River has provided an endless source for artistic exploration. While the landscapes of my childhood occur frequently I am also drawn to various landscapes across Lutruwita including the southern coastline and the majestic beauty of Kunanyi Mt. Wellington above Nipaluna Hobart where I am currently based.
