Despite excelling in art during school years, I chose a career in nursing followed by another in graphic design. Nine years ago I returned to my art taking some classes at local community art groups.

I work primarily from photo references, sometime I am inspired by a singular image, other times I will source photos and combine them in Photoshop in order to create the image that conveys the story or idea I wish to paint.

I am most inspired by people, portraiture and animals.
