Iβve always loved rocks so itβ not surprising they have become a prominent feature in many of my works. Being blessed with growing up in the country surrounded by nature. Just a short drive to many wonderful now tourist environments we loved to explore. Wonderful waterfalls and surrounds, bush walks or climbing up mountain tracks all close by. Birdβs Eye View evokes just one of many of these typical excursions.
My work is focused on the relationship of people with each other and their environments.
Text adds to the subtext of the work acting as a springboard for the viewerβs unique response. I am interested in the shape and feel portrayed within. My slow process of layering mixed media and text echoes our uniqueness and many layers of history.
