'Night lake' was created from a reference photo given at the Splashout Art School, Marino Rocks, Adelaide. The painting was started by a black and white tonal study and then adding layers of colour. The scene is at night with a dark foreground and silhouette of trees. The lake and sky is a gorgeous cool blue with reflections from the mountain in the water. White clouds are rising up from behind the mountain.
