View At The Lake

My Australian landscape paintings reflect the stillness and contemplation of nature . This lake landscape is inspired by the Wentworth Falls Lake area and the Blue Mountains of NSW where I am fortunate to have my art studio.

This is offered to you as an unframed original artwork created with a calming and soft arrangement of colour and texture across the page. The artwork features beautiful blue and grey tones.
The primary medium used is alcohol ink on heavyweight Yupo synthetic paper. The original artwork is unframed 70cm x 50cm in size. It has been sealed with several layers of UV protective varnish ready for framing. Signed on front.
UV glass/acrylic perspex(ask for artglass) or conservation glass is recommended where possible to best look after an original artwork as the inks are crafted with a delicate dye.
Otherwise It is recommended that this painting not be hung in a place where direct sunlight casts it's rays across the surface, or under flouroscent lighting, as over time the inks may fade. Hanging in a normal room and lighting will be perfectly fine.

Christine is a contemporary painter, occasional art judge and art curator, who lives on Gundungurra and Dharug land, creating art in her bush studio and attached gallery in the beautiful Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia. When you browse Christine's art you will discover it is intuitive, sensual and colourful and underpinned by her love of strong expressive drawing and blending. Christine paints primarily in acrylics and inks and use substrates of artist quality papers, canvas and professional art boards.

Christine's sold and commissioned paintings hang in private homes and offices around Australia, in the United Kingdom, France, USA , Germany, The Phillipines and Japan.

Christine is the recipient of prestigious art awards, peoples’ choice awards and prizes. Most recently Christine received the prestigious Camden Art Prize 2026 Committee’s Special Award was a Finalist in the St Columba Art Prize 2025.

Christine has held successful solo exhibitions most recently at Gallery NWC in Katoomba and at the historic Braemar Gallery in Springwood. She has also shown at Plane Tree Gallery, Gallery One88 Fine Arts, Everglades House, Nolan-On-Lovel Gallery and The Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum Café

“While I have done many things in life so far, studying, working and travelling extensively, I truly think I was born to paint! I get great joy from creating and more so when my art is appreciated and sought by viewers and collectors. I am so fortunate to live and create in the World Heritage Listed Area of The Blue Mountains, and take most of my inspirations from its natural environs and my own sprawling Studio gardens,

I enjoy being an active member of the vibrant Blue Mountains arts community. I volunteer at my local art gallery and enjoy giving back to the arts community in that way. I have run art classes for 10 years and have been requested by art societies to provide workshops, demonstrations and to judge their exhibitions. I have also curated a number of Public Gallery and Art Society Exhibitions.
