Artwork Description

A cheeky bird that's worked it's way into the Aussie vernacular, the galah is a delightful representation of Australia. This pink and grey galah has been blinged up with a gold gouache background.

The painted surface is a lovely textured card – Arches 300gsm Watercolour paper, in natural white 100% cotton, painted in professional Winsor & Newton watercolours and gouache for a richness in colour.

The 20x20cm work has been mounted to a cradle board, sealed with cold wax, and framed in a beautiful black timber. It's ready to hang with d-rings and wire. The wax protects the watercolour from the elements so it does not need to be behind glass. The wax also gives it a shinier finish, as seen in the photos. For upkeep, it simply needs to be wiped over with a lint-free cloth.

It is signed on the back, and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
