Artwork Description

Watercolour on wood

Signed on the front.

This confident little bird, one of our many Australian Honey Eaters, enjoys an evening snack atop the Protea flower. The painted surface is a lovely textured paper – Arches 300gsm Watercolour paper, in natural white 100% cotton. I've used professional Winsor & Newton watercolours for an archival quality artwork.

The 20x20cm work has been mounted to a 3cm deep cradle board, sealed with cold wax, and ready to hang with d-rings and wire. The wax protects the watercolour from the elements so it does not need to be behind glass. The wax also gives it a shinier finish, as seen in the photos. For upkeep, it simply needs to be wiped over with a lint-free cloth. The edges are black and act as a frame, but it can also be framed with a box frame if you so choose.

It is signed on the front, accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
