Inspired by my love of nature. Living in the foothills we are so lucky to get these Blue Wrens (Fairy Wrens) dancing in our backyard. They are a real joy to watch and put a smile on any ones face. This painting is heavily textured both background and the bird. Ive used metallic golds for a abstract contemporary look and feel. Painting is painted around the canvas edges too. I also have painted a series of Blue Wrens (Fairy Wrens) in different formats and layout from two, three and five birds in both landscape and portrait format. These guys are very much loved around Australia.
