Artwork Description

These Blue Wrens I chose for our Southern Buoy 40 x 40 exhibition as I wanted something that would really pop out of the frame. The blues and golds really suit this frame. Originally inspired by my love of nature and living in the foothills we are so lucky to get these Blue Wrens (Fairy Wrens) dancing in our backyard. They are a real joy to watch and put a smile on any ones face. Last year I released an ART / WINE Australian Bird Series with God's Hill Wines Barossa Valley, they published 6 of my Australian birds on their 2022 Shiraz Label. This painting is heavily textured both background, branches and the bird. Ive used metallic golds for a abstract contemporary look and feel. These guys are very much loved around Australia. This painting is very hard to photograph all the details and looks much better in real life and blues are really stunning. The painting is much more textural than what they appear in the photos.
This work will be available for purchase online and will also be on display at the Bluethumb Gallery in Adelaide as part of the gallery's 'Bluethumb x Southern Buoy: 40 x 40' exhibition from May 2nd - July 1st. Interested collectors may inquire prior to this date.
