Inspired by the little Blue boy Wrens that play in our garden, that peck at our windows for bugs and perch so beautifully in our trees. I can watch these birds for hours. This painting is a modern, textural piece that exaggerates rich shapes and colours. Heavily textured with the use of metallics and silver foil. The birds also sit 3D from the canvas as textured on top. The painting starts at the bottom with a greeny blue and blends to a sky blue with a mix of greens, blues, pinks, whites and metallics. This piece is the first of what will be my bird series.
