This abstract painting I have added lot's of beautiful soft pastels. Ive used a pink base for the first time (see edges of the painting) and added splashes of sky blues, turquoise, deep blues, sage green, beige, metallic golds, whites, magenta, salmon pink, pink and greeny blues. This painting was inspired by wanting to paint something tranquil and calm as now being in a world pandemic we are surrounded by so much negative news and worry. I also wanted to paint something that was therapeutic for myself as a lot of my usual art subjects require a bit of math and measurement. This was a free flowing painting, finding my zen. It reflects pebbles in water which again is very calm and soothing. This versions background has a light texture. The close up images show the colours well. All of my pebble paintings are different using different colours and also the pebbles placements. This one has a satin varnish. Painted around the edges ready to hang.
