This abstract painting, Water Lilies was inspired by my visits to the Botanical Gardens, also my trips to Kakadu when living in Darwin for 6 years. These beautiful flowers and leaves float whimsically upon the ponds and lakes. They one of natures more magical flowers. I have create a textural swirl for the water and the leaves and flowers have there own textures as well. A vibrant but calming piece. Mixed media to create textures, sides painted, gloss finish.
