Artwork Description

SPECIAL SAVE $100. Inspired by my outback Australian Travels and my love of trees. This new abstract I have used my new background technique. I am drawn to metallic golds, electric blues, turquoise and whites as reminds me of the nights I spent camping out bush or in the sand dunes at the beach. Also reminds me of our beautiful opal gems. The gum trees are also textured to jump off the painting. The colours are vibrant when captured in the light. The background is really interesting when looked at close up. Painted around the edges ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Award-winning artist Miranda Lloyd expresses a deep connection to her natural surroundings. Living in the foothills, her enthusiasm for painting is inspired by her own backyard and a desire to bring the “outside, inside,” while complementing her modern lifestyle. A passionate surfer, Miranda often reflects the ocean in her work. Her paintings exaggerate nature’s lines, shapes, and colours, resulting in a modern blend of abstract impressionism and contemporary style. Miranda won a finalist award in the Brand South Australia Regional Business Awards 2014. 2017 Miranda was selected by the Director of Arts and Health to exhibit 28 of her large paintings in the New Royal Adelaide Hospital. A 2.3 billion dollar build. 2018 Miranda's artworks were published in a hardcover Australian Art Book along with 54 other iconic Australian country artists. Her art and profile has been used by an American University ( The Art Of Education University) with 9 other international nature artists as a resource for their program. Miranda’s work and bio will also be featured in Australia’s Home Design magazine with 11 other artists. They also publish Grand Designs Australia . 2025 The Adelaide Airport's New Premium Plaza Lounge purchased two of Miranda's Australiana themed artworks as part of their interiors.
