Gum Trees - textured impasto abstract

I'm back into running in the bush at sunrise in the freezing cold but I find it heightens my senses and helps with getting new ideas . With the more wintery weather setting in I’ve been doing more moody / earthy pieces vs my summery Coastal vibes or bright florals. I’ve been enjoying taking in the shapes and colours of the rocky paths with old rustic gum leaves plus love the many varieties of gum trees especially the shapes of the bark on the trunks. This piece is part of my line art series also inspired by lino art. The background has a light texture and is a mix of browns. blacks, blues, turquoise, burnt orange, pinks, greens, beige, silver, white and gold with the outline of the trees in white. Finished with a gloss finish to saturate the colours.

They also publish Grand Designs Australia . 2025 The Adelaide Airport's New Premium Plaza Lounge purchased two of Miranda's Australiana themed artworks as part of their interiors.
