Artwork Description

This is my first red gum tree of this style. Inspired by the old gums where I run my dog and living in the Adelaide Hills, I used my own photos for this inspo. Using my signature thick textures and using my autumn firey hues with the contrasting night sky with a slight influence of impressionism. Background has a light texture and the gum has heavy textures. View the close ups to see the textures as its very hard to photograph. A mix of blacks, silvers, blues, golds, whites, orange, brilliant red, deep crimson red is used with a gloss varnish. My textural paintings always look better in real life as hard to capture their true textures in a photo.
