Artwork Description

One of my signature trees. When I first started out as a professional artist I was know for my trees which were my main subject. This tree is a fusion of coastal and country. I've recently been draw to splashes of yellow as its a happy colour and reminds me of the sunshine! Which we crave in winter. Coastal blues with speckles of yellow that reminds me of the wattle flowers I see when I hike through our local national park. My two favourite places to be is either out bush or down the beach. Full of inspiration and calm. This tree is heavily textured in white (photos dont show them well), background has a light texture of sky blues, turquoise, greens, white, deep greens, pinks, yellow, beige and deep blues. Check the close up photos for textures.

Artist Bio

Award-winning artist Miranda Lloyd expresses a deep connection to her natural surroundings. Living in the foothills, her enthusiasm for painting is inspired by her own backyard and a desire to bring the “outside, inside,” while complementing her modern lifestyle. A passionate surfer, Miranda often reflects the ocean in her work. Her paintings exaggerate nature’s lines, shapes, and colours, resulting in a modern blend of abstract impressionism and contemporary style. Miranda won a finalist award in the Brand South Australia Regional Business Awards 2014. 2017 Miranda was selected by the Director of Arts and Health to exhibit 28 of her large paintings in the New Royal Adelaide Hospital. A 2.3 billion dollar build. 2018 Miranda's artworks were published in a hardcover Australian Art Book along with 54 other iconic Australian country artists.
