This painting was inspired by my big potted cordyline plant that is in my painting area. The shape and form inspired me to paint it against the sunset backdrop. Heavy textures with the contrast of the gradient of reds to orange with flecks of blues, whites, metallic golds, silvers and gold foils that catch nicely in the light. This also appears very Australian outback though an imported specie of plant. The textures create a very earthy - rustic feel.
