Artwork Description

This painting was inspired by a trip I took with my daughters to Mount Tamborine, specifically Curtis Falls. As we walked the winding path towards the waterfall, I was struck by a breathtaking scene — a fleeting, almost magical moment where sunlight poured through the canopy, casting a rosy-pink hue on the stream below. The water shimmered as it tumbled past rocks hugged gently by the forest’s edge, while tall, vertical tree trunks in the foreground created a powerful visual contrast against the fluid movement of the creek.

It wasn’t just the waterfall that moved me — it was the feeling of the journey. The sense of quiet wonder, discovery, and intimacy that nature gifted us along the way. Through this painting, I’ve tried to capture that essence: the layered textures of the forest, the glow of filtered light, and the emotional rhythm of walking side by side with loved ones in a moment of awe.

I invite you, the viewer, to step into this path with me — to not only seek the waterfall but to embrace the quiet beauty and reflection offered by the journey itself.

I hope you enjoy this painting.

Artist Bio

I am an artist and a designer of color, shape, composition, and perspective — a visual communicator who speaks through contrast, texture, and form. My work exists at the intersection of design and emotion, blending realism, cubism, and abstraction to reflect the complexity of personal experience.

At the heart of my practice is a quiet rebellion — a refusal to conform to stylistic boundaries or emotional expectations. I use bold, bright colors and striking contrasts not just to capture attention, but to challenge the viewer’s emotional instincts. My brushstrokes are deliberate, expressive, and layered, each one a response to something felt but not spoken.

I create to connect — not through direct conversation, but through visual presence. Painting allows me to express what I find difficult to articulate in person: moments of beauty, tension, grief, or wonder. Every canvas is a space where internal realities meet external form.

Art, for me, is not a performance. It’s a form of truth-telling. And in that space between expression and interpretation, I invite the viewer to find something of themselves.
