Mixed Media Urban Pop Painting

In recent times we have seen the politicisation of wearing a mask, however mask wearing in this country has a long an chequered past. In this artwork I have used the Iconic Sidney Nolan style Ned Kelly and given it a Pop Culture Vegemite mask, to create an Aussie Mask wearing legend.

This Original Artwork was made entirely from Recycled Materials the vintage frame was salvaged and restored and finished off with 24karat gold leaf. The Painting was then created to fit into the traditional portrait style frame, to juxtapose the new pop art vibe with an old world feel.

This painting was created using Acrylic Paint and Sugar Spray Packs and Paint Pens.
