Flamingo Disco 2000: Abstract Painting on 2 Canvases

This original painting was a continuation of my recent experiment in using different techniques to apply the paint. The work was created using Sponges, rags, plastic and scrapers, in fact almost anything but brushes.

The work is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces.

The work is a Diptych and can be hung together as one as it was created to have a subtle flow between the two canvases or the work can be separated with a gap to fill a larger wall.

This artwork was created to have maximum impact in any room, but also has a subtle textured finish created by built up layers of paint . Insitu examples are not to scale.

The work comes on 2 stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
