After painting in oils for many years, I was inspired by the colour and vibrancy of soft pastel. I paint in a ‘tonal impressionism’ style and soft pastel is now my preferred medium. My subjects are varied but I particularly enjoy landscape/streetscape and portraiture/figure work. In addition to pastel, I also enjoy drawing/sketching and painting in watercolour. In recent years I have sold a number of paintings both in Australia and overseas, taken on commission work and organised a successful exhibition of my work. I have won a number of awards at Art Shows in Australia, including several highly commendeds and best Hobsons Bay Scene at the 2018 Hobsons Bay Rotary Art Show.
