Ashley Lumb is an American curator and art historian and has an M.Litt in the History of Photography from the University of St. Andrews. She has worked as a Curatorial Assistant for the British Museum and as a Research Affiliate at the Bodleian Library at Oxford University. Since 2012 she has been independently curating photography exhibitions in the US, UK, Europe, and Australia with her curatorial collective Hemera. She is also the founder of the London and New York Photography Diaries.
From studying painting in 1966 at the National Art College, Sydney Tech., Milne moved to London as Art Restorer for the London Galleries before returning to Melbourne in 1971. A passionate painter with a deep social conscience, Milneโs vivid insights have been represented at over 27 major solo exhibitions, 20 group exhibitions, including a 2 man show with John Perceval, an Australia-wide touring exhibition with Museum Victoria (1993-1996), two solo shows at Spoletto, Italy, and the Australian Embassy, Tokyo.
Julie is a sculptor who just wants to see good things happen. She has curated over 60 exhibitions incuding the Lorne Sculpture Biennale between 2010 - 2016. She has been an art educator at Victorian College of the Arts and RMIT, founded and chaired the Contemporary Sculptors Association, the Yarra Sculpture Gallery in Melbourne and has been on numerous advisory boards. <br><br> Julie was also the Public Art Coordinator for the City of Ballarat on a part time basis between 2011- 2016, bringing Ballarat innovative projects such as ContainART, Unicorn Lane Gallery and the commissioning of 10 new permanent public art. Her sculptural practice, run with her husband has been exhibiting Nationally & Internationally for over 30 years.
