This painting is painted using many thin layers of oil on canvas to achieve vibrancy in colors. It is a medium-sized painting on high-quality handmade canvas stretcher frames. These stretcher frames are warp-resistant. A linen canvas has been hand-stretched over the frame and the sides of this painting are black. The painting is made using large brushstrokes and the texture of the paint and brush marks are visible on the surface of the canvas.

Anaximander was Greek philosopher who lived in Miletus 610 – c. 546 BC. Very little is known about him and about his work. Anaximander teaches that all dying things are returning to the element from which they came. He was a mystical figure, good reason to be imagined and painted as a real man.
