Oil on wood, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
I love to paint on wood. I study its contours and see what is already taking shape before my eyes. Then I paint the dominant part of what I see in clear gloss varnish β in this case it is the path meandering through the landscape. Then I let my eyes wander to see the bigger picture and fill this in with my oils.
My love of the country-side and everlasting daisies have also been incorporated into this landscape. They are a colourful paper-like hardy Australian native plant. They are a gorgeous symbol of enduring joy, friendship and well wishes. May your happiness be as lasting and resilient as these flowers and this road.
