I began painting professionally in 1980 after being commissioned to paint five race horses for the limited edition publication titled: Notable Australian Thoroughbreds. Soon after I sold a painting of a famous Australian racehorse Dulcify to Baron Peter Von Kapp Herr, who was the president of the Baden Baden Racing Club in Germany. I was then commissioned by an Australian publisher to paint the racehorse Octagonal for a limited edition print. More recently I was asked to paint the Melborne Cup winner, Might and Power, which was also made into a limited edition print. In the early eighties I was asked to exhibit several paintings of Phar Lap for a major exhibition to coincide with the release of the movie Phar Lap. I shared the exhibition with Sir Patrick Kilvington at the George Styles Gallery in Sydney.About twenty years ago I began painting and drawing figure work, specialising in the female nude.My preferred mediums are oils or pastels. My portrait commissions include: Famous Australian Jockey, Malcolm Johnston, Radio personality John Laws, commissioned by radio station 2UW, Rugby League captain, Steve Mortimer, commissioned by the Canterbury Council.
