The Crested Bellbird is an Australian bird known for a curious ability in being able to 'throw' it voice making the bird hard to track by call alone - it is this special ability that has prompted it being represented on a vintage page from a physics book using the chapter 'The Velocity of Sound' The bird is painted in acrylic on the vintage paper which is mounted on stiff watercolour board. The page is mounted on archival matt board. The piece is unframed.
