Artwork Description

"Wild Promises" is a piece of art from my circle series, which draws inspiration from the powerful symbolism of circular forms. The circular shape represents the endlessly changing cycles of life, the self, and the world, and serves as a profound reminder of the beauty and mystery of existence.

Through careful use of brushstrokes and color, this painting captures the dynamic energy and fluidity of the circular shape, evoking a sense of constant motion and change.

"Wild Promises" invites you to contemplate the profound beauty of nature's endless cycles and the boundless potential and promise of life.

Artist Bio

Cynthia Ligeros draws her inspiration from the dynamic and constantly-evolving urban landscapes that surround us, as well as the pristine beauty of the natural world. Each of her paintings is born from a singular, driving emotion that informs every brushstroke and composition.

She begins her creative process with an under-painting that allows organic forms to develop on the canvas. Through an artistic dialogue with the piece, she composes and unifies these forms until a finished abstract painting emerges that reflects the cycles, emotions, and equilibrium of our ever-changing environment.

This layering technique is emblematic of the broader themes in her work: the tension between the hard edges of our structured world and the organic contours of the natural world. Cynthia's art is a metaphorical exploration of the idea of the subconscious self unifying with the higher self to achieve wholeness.

Her artwork has been acquired by the University of Colorado Boulder, St. Regis Hotels, The Longmont Justice Center, and collectors across the United States and Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Her work has been showcased in prestigious locations such as the Denver International Airport, the Madden Museum, and Denver Botanic Gardens, as well as in galleries spanning from San Francisco to New York City.
