It is the second installment in a series of two paintings depicting a view of the seascape spanning Mornington to Melbourne in Victoria.
Artist Statement:
This work of art is an abstract representation of the view across The Bay of Port Phillip from Mornington to Melbourne. The painting is composed of bold geometric shapes and forms that portray the vastness of the seascape through the use of colour and perspective. The colours used throughout the artwork are a diverse range of blues, mid-greys and shades of yellow, which contribute to the interplay of space and depth. The painting is a representation of the Bayside region encompassing the geographic area spanning Mornington to Melbourne and is intended to be a reminder of the beauty of the region and the importance of appreciating our local environment. It is a unique visual representation of this particular view across The Bay of Port Phillip.
This painting has been completed on heavy 500GSM canvas. All edges of the artwork are fully painted.
