Artwork Description

The translucent layering of shapes mirrors the way experiences, memories, and emotions build upon one another, sometimes obscuring and sometimes revealing. Each element is both part of the whole and also a distinct attribute, suggesting that “the one” we seek may be hidden in plain sight, waiting to be recognized.

Original painting by Daniel McCulloch.

Painted in 2025.

Please note this painting has been completed on a Wooden Panel (3mm Thickness) and requires professional framing prior to hanging. A mock image of the painting framed in an aluminum frame, with an 8cm white matt has been provided as a finished example.

Artist Bio

I'm a contemporary painter specialising in medium to large format abstract artwork. I use a variety of mediums to create abstract compositions that reflect the beauty and complexity of life. My paintings are characterized by hard lines, bold blocks of saturated colour, and intricate geometric compositions. Paintings often feature overlapping geometric shapes, circles, and lines that create an interplay of light and shadow. I strive to express the tension between the seemingly mundane and the extraordinary, creating works of art that challenge viewers to look beyond the surface and find hidden meaning and insight. My goal is to create artwork that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
