Artwork Description

White Cliffs is an opal mining town in western NSW. The opal field is dotted with thousands of mullock heaps and abandoned shafts in search of the highly desired opal and whilst the landscape is scarred from such activity it is rather unique with a beauty of its own. I paint in a realist style with an aim of depicting the landscape in a convincing manner.
