Revolution

The surface of this painting is textured, with lumps and drips. I was drawn to the palette knife as a tool not just for mark-making, but for capturing movement and atmosphere in a raw, physical way.
The sides of the canvas are painted, and the painting is sealed beneath a glossy varnish.

My ideas and how I apply them to the canvases are seldom subtle and my intention is for the artworks to be striking and distinctive. I explore emotion and expression through colour and shape. As I develop my paintings, I focus on an idea, an effect, and a mood. I enjoy painting in different styles and my works range from abstract to abstract figurative, pop art to expressionism, in addition to impressionist works.
