Artwork Description

There is everything nostalgic about visiting Victoria Park with your children whom you brainwashed to support the Collingwood FC, an inner city suburb only 3km from Melbourne.
I would often finish work at 1pm, drive 50 min to Abbotsford, pay my ticket at the old turnstile and stand on the wing to watch my favourite player Darren Millane. The feeling was mutual to many who adored the black and white. These days it's public space for the local neighbourhood or a local football game for schools close by.
The Victoria Park entrance is a testament of its time, upholding the grandeur of this famous football club. They keep their tradition alive by protecting the heritage and pride of its very humble beginning. Thankyou for looking.

Artist Bio

Hello everyone!
I have travelled far and wide with my husband's work for 20 odd years to numerous states around Australia and twice to the USA. I suppose you can call me a defence spouse, Army style!
It was during a posting to the US where I became the 'accidental artist', painting local scenes around Leavenworth County, Kansas and selling my art through word of mouth! This crazy journey has inspired me to continue my love for painting scenes throughout Australia
I feel my artwork is, by virtue, the colours I see and the lines that define them. My art is bright, bold, joyful, unique depictions of life around me through numerous journeys I've encountered in a nature loving form. I draw inspiration from female artists in Maude Lewis, Georgia O'Keefe and Heather Brown who created their own distinct styles and a belief in themselves
For me and my art style, I seek collectors who dare to venture into bright pop/ naive/ contemporary art.
I focus mainly on acrylics and black markers using small to medium size canvas or acrylic paper. Certain picture frames are repurposed and matted with love to reduce the landfill we humans love to create.
I want my artwork to be different, a little obscure, very animated, yet recognisable to admire.
I hope to bring a visual flair to those who adore creative, quirky pieces that express pure joy and an illustrative love of life around us. Your blank wall or tiny computer nook may need a dose of gladness to brighten your

Thankyou so much for reading xx
PS:- Some of my artworks have been removed for the upcoming SALA Arts Festival next month in South Australia. Catch me around if you can!
