Forged in Fire…This mixed media painting explores movement, light, and the quiet strength of the ballerina’s form. Rendered on a timber panel, the figure emerges through layered acrylic washes, expressive pencil line, and areas of wood burning that physically carve motion into the surface. Gold leaf is woven throughout the composition, catching the light and evoking both fragility and resilience, as if the dancer is suspended between earth and illumination.
