Artwork Description

Where the wild things grow is a large abstract landscape painting depicting the lush greens of nature in all their cooling, calming beauty. This painting is painted with large bold brushstrokes and a palette knife, and I've worked and drawn into the wet paint with nature inspired marks and imagery.

This painting is on a large piece of unstretched canvas which can be stretched by bluethumbs framing service. You just select this option at checkout and leave the rest up to bluethumb. Your painting will arrive stretched and ready for hanging in it's new home. You can even elect to have it professionally framed by bluethumb in either a black, white, or beautiful oak frame. Again, you just select this option at checkout.

If you choose to stretch the painting yourself if will come rolled to you in a tube to be stretched by your framer of choice.

The approximate size of this painting once stretched and ready for hanging is 100x120cm

Artist Bio

I am an Australian contemporary artist. I have always loved art and creating but only started taking my art practices seriously when I moved to the UK and began exhibiting my work in a small galleries in Glasgow. Upon returning to Australia I started selling my work again through an online gallery and have built up quite a number of collectors throughout Australia.
I was born in Sydney and grew up in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Now I'm based on the mid north coast of New South Wales where I am never at a loss for ideas or inspiration to paint...being surrounded by beautiful national parks and beaches. I love to work with acrylic or mixed media or paper or canvas and also love the unpredictable abstract nature of resin art. My work ranges from abstracted botanicals and still life and non objective pieces exploring colour and emotion. I have been interested in art, in colour, in design, in making a mess, since I was little. The best part of story books were always the pictures. From drawing in the sand, to drawing in chalk on the driveway art has always been a constant in my life in one form or another.

I have sold my work to various corporate businesses such as Blackmores Australia, the A2 milk company, aged care facilities and Australian celebrity collectors as well as the general public...both in Australia and overseas.
